ACDA Introduces the First Rock ‘N Roll Series Top of the Charts Rankings!

If you haven’t seen the revamped ACDA (American Cheer and Dance Academy) cheer and dance event themes yet, they’re definitely worth checking out! ACDA (a division of the EPIC Brands) has upgraded their look this season to reflect several fun, fresh series including the Rock ‘N Roll Championships, High Rollers Vegas-style championships, and the ever-popular Reach the Beach, now broken up into Beach Blast Championships and Nationals!
The first two events of our Rock ‘N Roll Championship series last weekend were largely successful in both Maryland and Louisiana, and we’ve introduced our first ever “Top of the Charts” List, consisting of the best 10 team scores from all Rock ‘N Roll Championships combined during the 2012-2013 competition season. Top of the Charts will be updated after each event, and the team with the highest score overall will be awarded $5,000 in EPIC money! Do YOU have what it takes to reach the Top of the Charts??

EPIC launches the Second Celebrity Coach Feature with Inside Publications!

As already said in our first post about the EPIC Coach Features we will be doing this season with Inside Cheerleading and Cheer Biz News, there are a multitude of “EPIC” cheer programs in the United States, thanks to the hard work and determination of people that have a genuine love for our sport! We got a chance to catch up with Morton Bergue, owner of Cheergyms.com and world- renowned coach, choreographer, speaker, and judge. Morton has been involved in the cheer and dance industry for 30 years, and has been blessed with opportunities that many of us can only dream about.

In addition to being a successful gym owner with 3 cheerleading facilities in California, Morton has also been a judge for every major cheerleading company in the industry, choreographer for many well-known productions such as the Aloha Bowl, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland, and a key note speaker at many of the top USASF and NACCC meetings and conferences. Reach the Beach All Star Nationals: NOW Giving 2 FULL PAID and 6 AT LARGE Worlds Bids!!

Reach the Beach Nationals is ACDA’s most popular event, now entering its sixteenth season at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, MD. The event will be held this upcoming season on April 5-7, 2013 and is open to all star and collegiate level teams. This event has been giving away many coveted prizes, including US Finals bids, Cheerleading Worlds bids, and even a car to a lucky coach at random each year, and now has increased its prize package even more!

Instead of one full paid and three at large Worlds bids as were given in the past, the Reach the Beach All Star Nationals will now be awarding TWO full paid and SIX at large bids to the USASF Cheerleading Worlds, in addition to the other prizes mentioned previously. The goal in doing this is to give even more level-eligible teams the opportunity to attend the most prestigious event in the spirit industry, and Reach the Beach is one of the last opportunities to do so in the 2012-2013 season.

Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders set to perform at Spirit Unlimited’s Charm City Championship!

Spirit Unlimited has invited some very special guests to their Charm City Championship event being held on December 15, 2012 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders will be attending this event for the first time in several years, featuring both the dance and stunt squads in an exclusive performance. They will also host an autograph session during the event, where attendees can get photos or other paraphernalia signed!

The Charm City Championship is one of Spirit Unlimited’s oldest running events, and this year’s competition will be sure to outdo those of the past. It is part of Spirit Unlimited’s new Premier Series, including an upgraded staging and lighting system and a glamorous red carpet, high class theme. • Custom Cheer or Dance Camps- 1, 2 or 3 day camps includes all the elements needed to get your team started off to the best season. Held privately at your facility by our great instructors, you choose the elements taught in your camp from our custom menu!

• Level Stunt Camps- Focus on pyramids and partner stunts specific to the level your team will be competing in for the upcoming season! Camps are grouped by USASF Levels: 1-6 appropriate material is taught for each level.

• High School Prep Camps- Open to all skill levels, you will learn about all the new NFHS stunting rules, new scoring rubrics, and how to improve all of your skill sets with new creative skills being taught by some of the best cheerleading and gymnastics instructors in the country!

EPIC launches the Celebrity Coach Ad series with Inside Publications!

There are a multitude of “EPIC” cheer programs in the United States, thanks to the hard work and determination of people that have a genuine love for our sport. This season, the EPIC Brands has decided to highlight a few of the most renowned people in this industry! Each cover advertisement that EPIC places in Inside Cheerleading or Cheer Biz News magazines will feature a different gym owner and coach that we have been able to catch up with this summer, along with an exclusive interview about their experiences in the industry inside the magazine and on EPIC’s social media and websites.

We love to reward people that have worked so hard to be successful, and we believe that this campaign will not only highlight what these people have achieved, but will also allow others just starting out to gain insight on their tips for following in their footsteps. Spirit Unlimited’s Updated Look for 2012-2013!

Spirit Unlimited has upgraded its look this season to focus on a prestigious, classy, glamorous theme, complete with a slight upgrade to the logo!

SU has two series of regional events for 2012-2013, titled “Signature” and “Premier” series. The Signature Series will include 16 locations at a slightly lower price point, but still focused on an elegant, classy look with superb customer service. The Premier Series will focus on a select 4 events, and will feature a higher level of production and customer service perks.

The Battle Nationals series has expanded past only Battle at the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, and has added the Battle in Queen City National Championship in Charlotte, NC. This event will offer similar production and experience as Battle at the Boardwalk, but no Worlds bids will be awarded here in its first year. Battle at the Boardwalk Nationals will be an even better event this year visually, and will also feature a runway show presented by GK Elite sportswear, Friday night Premier Night with the Worlds team preliminary competition, as well as 2 full paid and 6 at-large bids to the Cheerleading Worlds given away!
